It has expectorant properties, helping to loosen mucus and clear the airways, making it easier to breathe. Inula also has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects, which soothe the respiratory tract, alleviate coughing, and support overall lung vitality by reducing irritation in the lungs.

  • Verbascum thapsus (Mullein) – Mullein is renowned for its soothing effects on the respiratory system. It acts as an expectorant, helping to expel mucus and clear the lungs, making it beneficial for coughs, colds, and bronchial congestion. Mullein also has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce swelling and irritation in the airways, allowing for easier breathing. Its demulcent nature helps to soothe the throat and calm dry, tickling coughs.

  • Pinus sylvestris (Scots Pine) – Scots pine has long been used for its ability to support lung health and improve breathing. The essential oils of pine contain compounds that act as natural expectorants, helping to loosen mucus and clear blockages in the airways. It also has antimicrobial properties, which help fight infections in the respiratory system, and anti-inflammatory effects that reduce irritation in the lungs and ease the symptoms of asthma or bronchitis.

  • Lamium album (White Dead Nettle) – White dead nettle is beneficial for respiratory health, particularly in easing coughs and congestion. It is known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, which help to soothe irritated mucous membranes in the respiratory system. This herb also supports the body's immune function, making it useful for both acute and chronic respiratory conditions by reducing inflammation and helping clear mucus from the lungs.

  • Plantago lanceolata (Ribwort Plantain) – Ribwort plantain is an excellent herb for alleviating coughs, bronchitis, and asthma. It has expectorant and anti-inflammatory properties that help clear mucus from the airways while soothing irritation in the throat and lungs.
