Consultation Services

Please read the following information carefully

Whether you are dealing with a chronic health condition or simply want to maintain good health here at Herbal Selfheal we have the expertise and resources to help you thrive.

If you would like to proceed with a one-on-one consultation with a clinical herbalist, please choose a meeting on the right hand side. You will be prompted to register and book a convenient date and time.

Confirmation of Your Appointment and Details:

Please add these details to your calendar to ensure you don't miss your appointment.You will receive a reminder about your upcoming consultation 24 hours in advance.

Video Call Instructions:

There is no need to download or install any software. The consultation will be conducted via video call, so please ensure that your device has a working camera, microphone, and speaker.

Registration and Consent Forms:

You will recieve a Herbal Selfheal Registration form and Herbal Selfhel Consent form into your email.These will need to be filled out and electronically signed and returned to us via email. We can not proceed to consultation untill it has been done. Please be assured that all your records are stored accordingly with Regulation 17 under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and The Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998

Health Questionnaire and picture of your tongue

You will receive a questionnaire to complete and send back via email. This helps us understand your health concerns better.

If possible, please send a picture of your tongue via email or WhatsApp (instructions will be included in the email). Ideally, take the picture on the same day you complete the questionnaire, first thing in the morning, before consuming any food or drinks (other than water) or brushing your teeth. This is important for accurate differential diagnosis. Please don't feel pressured, we ask for this only if you are able to do so.

On the Day of Your Consultation:

Joining the Consultation: At the scheduled time, you will receive a link to join a "Google Meet" video call. Simply click the link, and then click "Ask to Join" to connect with the herbalist.

Duration of Consultation: The consultation typically lasts about 2 hours. In the first half, we will review your health questionnaire, discuss your health concerns, and explore all body systems.

On the Day of Your Consultation:

Discussion of Findings and Treatment: In the second half, we will go over my findings and discuss a treatment plan. If a follow-up referral or further diagnostics are needed, I will discuss these options with you.

Herbal Prescription:

You will receive a personalized herbal blend, typically for one month's use. This may come in the form of an alcohol-based tincture and/or dried herbal blend and/or supplementation. Note that the alcohol content is very low (5-10 ml up to three times a day) and will not affect your daily activities, including driving. For children, smaller doses are provided. We will cover this in detail during your consultation.

After you received your medicine you will also get an email from me explaining what herbs and/or supplements I prescribed and why and what to expect. You can conduct your own research into this. If I need to advice you on dietary and/or life style changes etc. This will be discussed during your consultation and then specified in follow-up email as further suggestions. It is clearly up-to-you whether you follow my suggestions.

It is clearly up-to-you whether you follow my suggestions.If I think, you would benefit from some supplementation which I don't supply, I will specify this in the follow-up email and where possible I will suggest a trustworthy supplier.Payment for Medicine: The cost of one week medicine is £12, so 1 month's supply of medicine is £46, plus £5 for postage and packaging within the UK. Payment is required before the medicine is dispensed.Dried herbs: £10 per 100g (plus P&P). Normally patients require 200g for a month. We will discuss all this during your consultation.

Repeat prescriptions continues:

Cost of repeat prescription:

£12 per 105 ml of medicine (One week) plus £5 P&P and £10 for dispensing. Dried herbs will £10 per 100g plus £5 P&P and £10 dispensing fee. The dispensing fee is removed if patient had their follow-up consultation.

Repeat prescriptions:

Repeat prescriptions are available for patients who have completed at least one initial consultation and can be provided up to three times (or for a period of 3 months). After this, a follow-up consultation will be required unless we have discussed an alternative plan. In some cases, it may be suitable to stay on the same herbal mix for a longer period, and this will be discussed during your consultation.

Follow-up consultation

The follow-up consultation is available to patients who have already had their first consultation. To book a follow-up consultation, simply contact your Herbal self heal practitioner via email herbalsefheal@gmail.com and request one. I will get back to you with available dates and times. Alternativelly, you can submit an enquiry in the section above. You will still be asked to complete a health questionnaire, provide a picture of your tongue, and pay for your consultation as before. The price of follow-up is £35.
