Ingredients: In various proportions: Rubus idaeus, Alchemilla vulgaris, Passiflora incarnata, Lactuca virosa, Angelica sinensis, Agrimonia eupatoria.

·       Rubus idaeus (Red Raspberry Leaf) – Red raspberry leaf is a well-known herb for supporting menstrual health and relieving menstrual cramps. It contains high levels of tannins and flavonoids, which help tone the uterine muscles and reduce cramping. Red raspberry leaf also balances hormone levels by supporting the function of the reproductive system, especially during the menstrual cycle. It is particularly beneficial for reducing heavy bleeding by strengthening the uterine lining, ensuring a more balanced flow.

·       Alchemilla vulgaris (Lady's Mantle) – Lady’s mantle has a long history of use in supporting menstrual health. It helps regulate the menstrual cycle by balancing hormones and promoting a more consistent flow. Lady’s mantle is particularly effective in alleviating painful cramps by soothing the uterine muscles. It also reduces heavy menstrual bleeding by toning the uterus and supporting healthy blood flow, making it an excellent herb for menstrual health and comfort throughout the cycle.

·       Passiflora incarnata (Passionflower) – Passionflower is a gentle yet effective herb for managing menstrual cramps, anxiety, and mood swings associated with menstruation. It has mild sedative and antispasmodic properties that help relax the muscles of the uterus and reduce the intensity of cramps. Passionflower also supports hormonal balance, alleviating irritability and emotional fluctuations that often occur during the menstrual cycle, contributing to a calmer, more comfortable experience.

·       Lactuca virosa (Wild Lettuce) – Wild lettuce is a soothing herb with pain-relieving and muscle-relaxant properties, making it helpful for alleviating menstrual cramps. It acts as a gentle sedative, helping to calm the body and reduce discomfort associated with heavy bleeding and painful menstruation. Wild lettuce also has anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce the overall discomfort of the menstrual cycle, promoting overall menstrual health and ease.

·       Angelica sinensis (Dong Quai) – Dong Quai, often called “female ginseng,” is a powerful herb for balancing hormones and supporting menstrual health. It helps regulate the menstrual cycle, reduces menstrual cramps, and promotes healthy blood circulation to the reproductive organs. Dong Quai also supports healthy uterine function, easing symptoms of heavy bleeding and alleviating discomfort during menstruation. It is especially beneficial for those experiencing irregular cycles or hormonal imbalances during their period.

·       Agrimonia eupatoria (Agrimony) – Agrimony is a lesser-known but highly effective herb for menstrual health, particularly in regulating heavy bleeding. It has astringent properties that help tone the uterine muscles, reducing excessive blood loss and helping to regulate the menstrual flow. Agrimony is also a mild anti-inflammatory and diuretic, which can alleviate bloating and discomfort associated with the menstrual cycle. Additionally, it helps balance hormones, contributing to a more harmonious menstrual cycle. Beyond its role in menstrual health, agrimony is beneficial for individuals with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which often worsens during menstruation. Agrimony helps soothe the digestive system, reduce inflammation in the gut, and regulate bowel movements, making it especially useful for managing IBS symptoms like diarrhoea, constipation, and bloating, which are commonly exacerbated by hormonal fluctuations during the menstrual cycle.
